Clearly you haven't heard of the fact that lithium ion batteries (if that's what phones still use, I wouldn't know since mines an iPhone) tend to explode or catch fire when they get hot. Since you believe shit like that, you should try rubbing your computers graphics card on your carpet! It makes it go faster!

Try everything once... but not this. Easy to trust something from a seemingly serious article, but if you have had reason to suspect it and thought of it again, then the whole "metal in microwave" would have told you it is a bad idea. Sucks indeed. :(
