OP here. Thanks lol. That's actually exactly what I was doing. I'm only 21, and I work in a very professional office, and I always need to look my best. I can't afford new shoes at the time, so that's why I sharpied them.

You may be poor but you are very resourceful. Your winning!
here I was thinking I was the only one
lol wow. its cheaper in the long run to get a new pair
Idk, sharpies are dang expensive!
$4 worth of sharpies or $40 for a decent pair of shoes? The sharpies seem a lot cheaper lol
you don't have to be poor to use sharpies in that fashion OP. *rolls eyes*
Wow what a loser who even cares just go around with the faded parts if your coworkers judge you then just tell them that they are losers
Why is she a loser? OP is simply trying to maintain a professional appearance at work without letting her coworkers know her financial situation. Using a sharpie to extend the life of her shoes is inexpensive and shows her resourcefulness at solving a problem that is bothering her.
I'm going out on a limb here and going with you've got multiple tattoos, stretched earlobes, and wonder why you only get shit-tier jobs. You go, OP.
Really? you think someone with tattoos can't get a decent job? Both my husband and I have well paying jobs and visible tattoos. Get over your prejudice. and OP I've Sharpied a comfy pair of shoes because they aren't being made any more, and I couldn't bear to throw them out. Its a common practice, and fixing a shoe is sometimes more expensive than a new pair of heels (that you'd have to break in) PS 6pm has some great discount shoes :)
I've got plenty of tattoos and plan on getting more, they do not and will not affect me getting a job. If tattoos are in taste then there are not a problem and shouldn't affect employment. Unless the employer is someone like you 216. In that case I'd rather not get the job anyway. Op we've all done that at some point. Just be proud that you have the job :)
At least be grateful you have a job! Remember glass half FULL!!!
It gets the job done and that's all that really matters.
that's called being innovative
