Today, I was house sitting by myself and I texted my mom saying how thankful I was that she was trusting me and not checking up on me. That night I threw a party at the house. My mom showed up to check on me because my text was "suspicious". FML

Today, I think the only reason my mom hosts my kid's birthday, and other parties at her huge house in the country, is so she can be a complete bitch to us on the day, and if we even sound annoyed, it's, "Well, this is my home, I don't have to open it to anyone." FML

You should take vengeance against her for her insensitive remark by causing minor trouble in another way like breaking the windows in your home or 'accidentally' smashing some ornaments or by sending bogus calls to relatives while disguising your voice

my mom told me that she threw a party when her parents went out of town, as her and my dad were going out of town. I told her that I wouldn't becuase that involved cleaning. she believed me and I didn't have a party. laziness has gone way to far.
