Today, my boyfriend was having a really bad day, so I decided to call him and try to calm him down. At one point, I thought it would be sweet to sing him a song since he claimed to love my voice. Before I could get half way through, he told me to shut up because I was getting on his nerves and just making things worse. FML

Today, my roommate eavesdropped on me singing. When I realized he was there, he said I was "fucking incredible" and asked me to do another song. There's just one issue: I only sing well when I'm alone. The result was predictably bad. If it was possible to literally die of embarrassment, I wouldn't be writing this. FML

Today, I butt-dialed my ex-boyfriend while venting to my best friend about how hot but emotionally unavailable he is. I realized this when there was a lull in the conversation and I heard his tinny little voice coming out of the phone, saying, "I can hear you." FML

Not wanting to hear someone sing doesn't always mean they are a bad singer. Maybe it is just me, but I am really uncomfortable being sung to, doesn't who it is or how good they are. Even if he meant well, the boyfriend should have said something and I hope OP is one of those that would be mature enough to listen if he did. Also, OP, not all video chats have an echo. Are you just guessing or do you know for certain he has done this?

You can't mute anyone on Skype... You can only mute yourself. Or at least on the version I use...
