Today, I was so lonely, I caught myself whispering to my food just so I had someone to talk to. FML

Ltsdragons tells us more.

OP here, I do turn the TV on too sometimes just for the noise and to pretend that there's a miniature party going on in the room next to me and I just can't see the people or whatever. It's actually not that bad. My parents are very busy people so they aren't home most of the time, and my girlfriend generally is volunteering at all these places. So I have a lot of time to be alone and do nothing xD

Try whispering to some McDonald's - it's so far gone it may just talk back!

Oh yeah because strangers showing you their dicks is much better than talking to food.

Some Internet chat rooms are full of people who like to show pictures of their food

Reminds me of The Phantom Tollbooth a bit...(book) Well foods do talk...Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper did in Blues Clues...

That show was the shit when I was a kid...

It happens to us all in some shape or form. Sometimes when drowning in coursework and feeling socially deprived, I turn on my TV just to feel like I have company :')

I think a lot of people do this. I know I do when I can't sleep all night or listen to music.

they say that time is money... maybe you should start spending money big time so you don't have as much time going to waste?

Sorry OP! Maybe try and get a pet if you feel this way regularly.

Give it a day and then the food will say something back with a splash!

You're supposed to eat your food OP, not make friends with it.

Food picks you up when you're down and never leaves. I can confidently say it's my best friend.

The Sharks in finding nemo disagree. "Fish are friends, not food."

Well,if you eat your food,it'll eventually leave you...just takes a day.
