Today, I received a pair of earrings, a necklace, and some rings as a Christmas gift from my grandma. This would have been nice if I weren't a guy. This is her way of mocking me for wearing what she calls "girl colors", such as white. FML

It's most likely an old fashioned view since white used to be associated with femininity and female virginity and unicorns and stuff since it's a soft, neutral, delicate colour. It's interesting though that pink only became a "girly colour" around the 1940's; before that, blue was for girls and pink was for boys. It changes all the time so it doesn't even matter, they're just colours!
