Today, I received a slip through my door saying that the package I'd ordered couldn't be delivered today because no-one was home to sign for it. I got the slip just in time to watch the guy who put it through my letterbox get in his van, look me in the eye and drive off. FML

OP here. The bastard didn't even knock and left the package in a post office the other side of town, even though I live five minutes from a sorting office.

Yo that's messed up. I hate when they knock and only hang around for like 3 seconds before leaving.

That sucks, OP. I've found a lot of delivery drivers don't even bother knocking, and just assume no one is home during working hours, and fill out the slip.

Heard tons of stories like that from the UK. Some where they'll just fill out the slips ahead of time so they can get out of there as quick as possible.

I guess you could say he (puts on sunglasses) gave you the slip.

YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHH! *CSI:Miami theme*

A similar thing happened to me one time. To get revenge, I got one of those foaming tablets, stuck it in my mouth, and ran after the truck barking.

That happens to me all the time, get the direct number for your local sorting office, (not the one one the card) and as soon as that happens, phone and ask for it to be re-delivered and tell them exactly what just happened.

I used to catch 'em doing this all the time here. Solved it by calling the company and turning over the truck number. "Didn't knock or ring the bell, stuck the slip on the mailbox. I would appreciate getting my package delivered, please." It stopped after I did it twice.
