Today, I received an email with a link to a story about a man who lost 650 pounds. I ignored it, until I saw who sent it. My mom, with the message "Maybe there's hope for you." FML
I agree, your life sucks 46 786
You deserved it 8 851

I think someone is in denial about their weight

Another FML without supporting information. How should we react? How much do you weigh? Has it been a topic of conversation in the house?

either your mother's really mean or you're really fat, if it's the latter then you should get off the computer and do some laps around a track

Good god... People really are idiots... We have no idea how much this girl weighs so kindly shut up. For all we know, the mother's one of those crazy bitches who thinks you're fat unless you're under 100 lbs. So unless more information is to be had, quit making assumptions.

Ah, I love when people make assumptions. Do you know how much the OP weighs? Do you know if she really is fat? No. Some parents are abusive bitches. One of my best friends struggles with anorexia. She's 5'1", 103 lbs, and she freaks out at the slightest weight gain because her guardian (her grandmother) will begin to make comments about her being fat, even though she is nowhere near fat. It's had a serious effect on the way she thinks and feels about herself.

I feel bad for fat people and am proud of them when I see them out walking, or at the gym. Right now I'm struggling to drop 10 lb so I can only imagine what it would be like to have 100's of lb to lose.

your parents will always be more honest with you than your peers. maybe you need to lose weight. stop being a fast ass.

I guess your mom has maned the harpoons.

If you're getting messages like that, it's likely you do need to drop some weight. Just get to it.
