Today, I remember that I changed my phone lock password when I was still half asleep this morning, but I don't remember what I changed it to. FML

Now I have to change my password.

It will come to you....almost as bad as when assholes get it locked for hours

The most common 4-digit PINs are "0000", "9999", "1234", and "2112". (Lots of Rush fans out there, I guess.) I'd try those first.

Try your birth year, or the birth year of someone close to you

And that is why I love my Android phone. Gmail account login and win! Then you can reset the code. Poor iPeople...

These aren't the droids we are looking for

Us iPeople just put ours into the computer and restore it to it's original setting. C:

Well OP you are shit out of luck. Just take it the phone store so they can reset it for you.

That reminds me of a movie I once watched: "A Lock to Remember".

Take out the SIM card and let it sit in a bag of uncooked rice for three days. Then, reinsert the card -- it should work perfectly then!

Wait what? The person has trouble unlocking the password, their phone didn't get wet...although that trick does work! :)

Ssssssh, I was thinking that the OP is so dumb, everyone around her would appreciate 72 hours without her inane blathering while she waited for the rice to do its magic. Please write a reply agreeing that ths trick really works to fix lost passwords :)

Thanks for the awesome tip about the rice perdix! I'm writing this comment from my now un-locked phone! I'll be sure to remember the rice trick because I always make up super hard to remember passwords. Do you think it'll work on my laptop too?

perdix 29

#38, totally! That trick will work on forgetful friends and relatives, too! Suppose one of them forgets your birthday or to invite you to a great party, lock them in a giant container of uncooked rice for three days and they'll never forget again!!!

Thank you Perdix! I thought my phone was a goner!

Perdix, i might need you to come save me. I did what you said to my sister and she suffocated. I need you to testify in court for me

One one one, one one one one, Louis? Dam, one one one, one one one two, Louis? Dam, one one one, one one one three....... I just remembered that scene when I read this FML!

have someone call the phone, and while the call is active, go to the home screen, get into settings, and you should be able to take care of the password situation.

You usually need to know the old password before being able to change it to a new one. That's the experience I've always had with phones/laptops/email etc

I've done it that way, although it may have been through a jailbreak tweak, which would work differently.

Could it work if the phone is set to never auto locking then backing up, factory reset and finally restoring the old photos and stuff?
