Today, I returned home to find the key to my mailbox missing. I called the post office and was informed that a new key will cost me $15. I have no money, and my paycheck is in the mailbox. FML

Today, I went to the post office. As I entered the building, my car alarm went off. Thinking I'd accidentally pressed the alarm on my keys, I shut it off without looking. When I returned to my car, the passenger window was demolished and my purse with all my money was gone. FML

Today, I locked myself out of my apartment. I've just realized that I could have spent $30 on an Uber or Lyft to my parents' place to grab the other set of keys instead of calling a locksmith and paying $280 for him to drill a hole through my doorknob, rendering all my keys useless. FML

Today, I had to call a locksmith because I got locked out of my apartment. It cost a total of $350 to break in and repair the lock. Not even 3 hours later, I dropped my only key in the sewer. FML

Pay by check? By the time the post office cashes it, you would have deposited your paycheck into the bank. You should plan on putting aside some money each paycheck. Start small, say $25-50 per paycheck, and start increasing it. If you can have it done via direct deposit, you wont miss the money at all and will be surprised later by how much you've saved.

wow dickwad- um after tomorrow I wont be able to scrounge up 15 dollars bc of the bills I pay.. so are you going to judge my life too? stfu and go on somewhere else. and direct deposit doesn't do much either - the job they have may not do direct deposit.. how about you learn to not be so judgmental about everything.
