Today, I returned home to find the key to my mailbox missing. I called the post office and was informed that a new key will cost me $15. I have no money, and my paycheck is in the mailbox. FML

Today, I went to the post office. As I entered the building, my car alarm went off. Thinking I'd accidentally pressed the alarm on my keys, I shut it off without looking. When I returned to my car, the passenger window was demolished and my purse with all my money was gone. FML

Today, I locked myself out of my apartment. I've just realized that I could have spent $30 on an Uber or Lyft to my parents' place to grab the other set of keys instead of calling a locksmith and paying $280 for him to drill a hole through my doorknob, rendering all my keys useless. FML

Today, I had to call a locksmith because I got locked out of my apartment. It cost a total of $350 to break in and repair the lock. Not even 3 hours later, I dropped my only key in the sewer. FML

that's bull. the post office has no right to keep your mail from you... especially if you have a check in your box. they have to give you your mail unless you owe the box rent fee. I'd talk to the clerk there tomorrow & if that doesn't settle it, ask to speak to the mngr. try to keep your cool but keep in mind, it's YOUR mail & they HAVE to give it to you. otherwise, it's a federal offense to keep someone's mail like that.

there's this thing they invented called the Key Chain! You attach KEYS to it... see now you can attach your new key to the chain and wont lose it. I use one, like most of us smart people think of to attach our keys to. Glad I could help.
