Today, I saw Les Misérables. I was singing along to one of the songs when the guy next to me dumped his soda over my head and told me to shut up. FML

You must have sounded miserable

people go to shows to watch and listen to them, now listen to other people drowning it out with their singing, YDI

Les Miserables isn't The Rocky Horror Picture Show so shut the hell up!

But imagine if it were. Javert as a Transylvanian transvestite...

We can do this! Pretty soon everybody will go to the theatre dressed as 18th century French peasants and throw moldy bread at the screen.

"Can you hear the people sing?" Yes, but I don't think he wanted to.

I know this is irrelevant to the FML but I would just like to take a moment and tell you that, judging by your photo, you have an awesome taste in music. Dream theater is one of my favorite bands.

Well you obviously didn't end this on a high note!

While he could have handled this situation in a much better way, you really shouldn't have been singing. There is nothing more annoying than paying to watch a movie and hearing someone else sing along to all the songs or say the lines.

And WHY were you singing in a movie theatre in the first place? That's pretty rude and inconsiderate.

That guy deserves a medal. There's a special place in hell for people who think everyone in the audience wants to hear their voice during a $9 movie. Y ******* DI.

I'm not all surprised with the drink, had a fist fight over seats in an empty theater for the hobbit the other day. People do drastic things when irritated or pissed these days. I say ydi, people pay to see the movie not you.

It would be amazing if your fight was just as the epic music started to play.

That would be awesome. I feel the need to clarify I was not in the fight. Lol one of my other security officers responded.

YDI, though the response was a extreme. As a family we've had to ban my father from group outings to the cinema, he asks questions/makes jokes every 30 seconds, it annoying enough for ourselves, let alone all the other strangers who don't love and tolerate him like we do. Leave the singing to home, in public spaces basic etiquette is the go, if you think it could cause offense to you in the wrong circumstance, don't do it even if you think it is the right circumstance...
