Was the store especially crowded? It's policy in most places to call for backup if lines get too big. I used to work retail and if we got more than three customers in a line, we had to call for another cashier, or else we'd get yelled at for either being too slow or making people wait. It's possible she was following protocol, OP.

OP don't take it personally. Make it was just bad timing and she just realized there were lots of people in line. She probably didn't realize it was you and just knew there were lots of people waiting to pay. Try talking to her to see how she actually feels about you :)
