Today, I scored two prime baseball tickets from a supplier at work. I phoned my dad to tell him the good news. He said that's great, my brother and him would love to see the game. I said, no, I'm taking you to the game. He told me I was being selfish and hung up the phone. FML

Today, I was telling my co-workers about how I'd gotten tickets to a concert in a few days. My boss overheard. Later, he told me I now have to work on the night of the concert. However, he was kind enough to offer to buy the tickets off me for half of what I'd paid for them. FML

Today, I bought my girlfriend two tickets to a Broadway show that was coming through town she really wanted to see. I couldn't attend with her due to work so she said she would take her mom. I found out later she took her ex. Now they're back together, and I paid for the date that made it happen. FML

Today, my dad and mom and I were going out to eat dinner. My dad wanted a romantic dinner just with my mom so he told me to make an excuse not to go. I did, which ended up as a huge fight, grounded and phone taken away. My dad just stood there in the background putting thumbs up. FML

It's wrong to think that it would be okay for the father to act this way if the OP was a girl, or even if (male or female) the OP wasn't as into baseball as the brother. As the OP won those tickets they are entitled to go if they want and take whoever they want to take. But for those that say he should take a "hot girl" to the game, that's stupid unless the girl he picks happens to enjoy the game. He should pick someone who enjoys the game and would like to spend time with him. I also don't get anyone who assumes that anyone else would give them BOTH tickets to do with as they choose, that is presumptuous and makes you an asshole! So unless someone specifically says BOTH tickets are for you, to do with as you wish, NEVER assume both are yours, assume that ONE is yours and the other person is going.
