Maybe she wasn't ready to say it back or felt awkward saying I love you for the first time over a text message.
Your an idiot. Their isn't any excuse to make this kind of misteak. This isn't a hard concept too grasp. You're girlfriend was just trying two help.

Also, girlfriend should not be capitalized since it is a common noun.
If you love her, tell her in person! She'll remember the first time you tell her, and it's much better in person than over text. Also, wouldn't you look over a text like that before you sent it and realise the mistake?

Yes because correcting a text is the sign of a cold hearted bitch. Maybe she just didn't want to have the first ' love' moment to be over text, or wants him to pay attention to his grammar.
Seems she wanted to spoil it though. Not sure why so many people think this was an appropriate reaction to the text.

Good thing that she got her senses right, and that she corrected you is positive to show you that you can not do whatever you like :P And I am glad you are not rushing things and use words as "I may love you" But still a minor FYL moment though, since spelling can be hard at times. Or grammar
