Today, I spent two hours making a cake that I'd promised my class for weeks. I boarded the train to school, but soon dozed off. A few minutes later, I awoke with a start and noticed a chunk of the cake missing and a homeless man next to me with frosting around his mouth. FML

Today while riding on a bus I spotted a random cake. Expecting no one to notice I took a small piece. I got screamed at the person who was sleeping next to me. FML

YDI for falling asleep. You should've known better than to leave something like a cake unguarded in such a questionable public area. You can't trust people there.

I find it pretty gross that someone would walk in a crowded area with strangers everywhere, with an unwrapped food product. it'd be so easy for someone to do something unhygienic to it. (sneeze, cough... or worse) cake boxes are like two dollars and pretty much any bakery will sell (or give) you one if you ask nicely.

i find it harder to believe if the cake was in a box. cake boxes need to be taped shut most of the time so it would've been hard to open without waking her up. if it were wrapped again same thing. if it was unwrapped the hobo couldn't reached over grabbed a handful of cake and shoved it in his mouth. I've seen people carrying unwrapped cakes on the NY subway, it happens all the time but that does not make it any less disgusting to me.
