my only question is this: if he wasn't cute would you still feel bad about it? why include that?
dunno why people are downvoting unless the guy was calling out to you waving his hands your way you have every right to defend yourself. little too late dont count for shit when a guy is right on a girl like this. so if he was callin you down like " hey you dropped your keys or something like that" then i really dont see a problem with that action you took. as for if he was then yeah i feel bad for guy lol.

Yeah that's assault. Congrats on the lawsuit, he should sue you for that. Not sure about French laws, but the spray might also be illegal unless you have a licence to carry it (and if you did, you wouldn't have sprayed him, assuming it includes any training at all). This is why all weapons (and similar items) should require a licence to carry, because otherwise we have cases of completely inappropriate uses of force such as this one, because you have no idea how you're supposed and allowed to use it.
You pepper-sprayed someone who appeared to be following you? This FML says France but this has to be from the US, right?
Indeed, your life must suck if you pepper spray people who follow you and do nothing else.
he appeared to be following you? paranoid much?

This is why you don't pepper spray someone unless they actually try and attack you. Get prepared if you want, but look what happens when you assume stuff. For all you know he might have just been heading the same way as you.
He was following you but he made no attempt to call out to you?
