I once wanted to be a vet, but the thought of having to put down so many animals turned me away. I realized I made a good decision as even reading this FML makes me cry.

Im an RVT, and I work at an emergency hospital. Some days are like that, but they are spread out between many wonderful ones. Also, to the person who said that there is no law against eruthanizing healthy animals; you're right, but most veterinarians will refuse to do so. I hope your next few days are better, OP.

I'm sorry OP, it sucks, but that's part of the job. Stick with it and you'll get those life-saving moments and grateful kid smiles that go with it also.

That's my dream job too!! My friends always tell me I'm gonna have to kill dogs but I always think of it as bringing them to a better place and putting them out of their misery.
