Also, it's a lot better for your health to just avoid allergens when possible rather than run into them and think it's okay just because you have an inhaler. They're not magic sprays that make your body super duper again, they just help your lungs a bit. Doesn't mean you get to act like an idiot.
I work with stuff like that. Bring a tiny cup of coffee beans. Everytime you smell 1, take a wiff of the coffee. Its kinda like a reset button for your nose because it takes the perfume out of your nose completely. We have little jars of it, it really works!
oh, I'm sure if this were true, they would have let you go home. that's a liability for them. and if it is true, its your fault for not explaining you have asthma.
What was the point of this exercise? Your sense of smell stops working after 3-4 different smells. Unless you were sniffing coffee beans in between parfumes you wouldn't have been able to smell anything after a while, so this was completely useless.
Perfume shop... asthma. Thats actually quite silly, OP. Why didn't you see this coming? : /

Unless you're suicidal, this isn't the job for you. I think you'd be better off working on a farm, with the nearest pharmacy miles away. But then again, Monk was a fantastic cop, so... Just keep an inhaler handy.
Fragrance stores usually have a lot of different perfumes, so I'm not surprised anyone wouldn't get sick after all those strong smells. Sorry OP, get a new job so your health won't be compromised.
