Today, I submitted a poem for my English class. I had fun writing it, so I wrote a second which was not nearly as good. My procrastinator of a friend never did his, so I gave him my extra poem. Mine was given a 75% while "his" received a 93%. FML

Well maybe next time you'll think twice before helping people who don't want to do their own work.

Was your second poem about demons?

does your friend take a liking to rubix cube and bubble wrap??

That sucks! That happened to me before once. It turned out even though my poem was great, it didn't have all of the needed details. Next time, I looked through the rubric and voilà, the best grade in the class :) It was nice of you to help your friends but I guess that sometimes backfires. FYL OP ?

OP is more complaining (for lack of better word) that their other poem received a better grade for someone else. Even though they state that they wrote it as an extra for fun.

maybe she thought it was better than he normally writes so he scored higher. and she knows you can write better than what you turned in so she scored you lower or maybe you accidentally have your friend the original essay you wrote.

Keep your own work and cherish it! I wouldn't want some lazy friend submitting something I made.

Well, you helped your friend. Even if you didn't, they one you turned in wouldn't have a better grade - so I don't see the big deal.. Sorta. Fyl anyways op

Never give your work to a friend who procrastinates.

YDI for helping someone cheat. Come on, OP. It isn't your responsibility to pick up his slack.

YDI next time just do not share a poem or any work with a friend. Honestly you can't even blame the teacher, because for you he/she may have a higher standard, but for a friend that "procrastinates" he/she probably has a lower standard and your poem basically was better then any attempt your friend could have made themselves. Again blame yourself.
