I remember tampons hurting like hell the first couple of times I used them. Once you get used to them you literally cannot feel having one in. Try using one first thing in the morning on a heavy day - it's gross but the blood will act like lube :s

The first period with them is the worst. I got my period for the first time and had to use a tampon within 10 minutes, because I had to go to swim practice. I was lucky, and didnt have any problems besides the pain. I promise OP it gets better by the second or third period using them

You know, there is something called 'a label' inserted in a tampon box. I read that and then I knew what I had to do. And I'm also one of the very few who didn't had a problem with it - seriously, I didn't know it hurt so much for so many girls.

Don't use tampons with applicators, it's better to just use your fingers, also, buy the small ones with the silky touch lining. Being a girl really sucks sometimes! But we have boobs, and boobs are awesome!

First: relax and don't worry about whether you are a virgin. Tampons are not like being raped, I am sad that people are making that comparison. Vaginas are wonderful things that can hold in a little tampon and also take on sex and childbirth. I would suggest the slimfit or gentle glide variety.

tried tampons, stayed with pads , i got a tampon in on my first try but it never worked for me, im so heavy i leek thru, and the worst part is taking them out lol
