What you should've done was put the glue on first somewhere out of sight... then just throw it down at some point and step on it a few times. XD Would've worked like a charm.
To everyone saying #12 is an idiot, I can not be certain, but I believe the law may have in the past been defacing any money by any means, but currently as shown the key words are "fraudulently alters". That would be why you can squash pennies and use money for art since you have no intention to commit fraud.
Is everyone too dumb to know this post is b.s.? Fist you cant superglue coins to a sidewalk. It would have to be epoxy. Second, there is no basis to giving a fine because the coins could be removed and used. Half of the FML posts are b.s. The fun is in seeing who the @$$hats are who believe them. ?Whoever fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates, impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the mints of the United States, or any foreign coins which are by law made current or are in actual use or circulation as money within the United States; or whoever fraudulently possesses, passes, utters, publishes, or sells, or attempts to pass, utter, publish, or sell, or brings into the United States, any such coin, knowing the same to be altered, defaced, mutilated, impaired, diminished, falsified, scaled, or lightened? Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.?
You getting in trouble for that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. People are saying all saying you're a 'jerk' or whatever, but seriously, they act like they've never done anything as a prank before that they could have been in trouble for. Who gives a ****, it's not immature, it's funny, and the cops were tightwads for fining you.
Lol. Nice.
I never understood why American has laws to protect money. Removing some units of currency from circulation increases the value of the money in circulation, which means the banks and businesses get that little bit wealthier. Annoying for real people, but the governemnt doesn't seem terribly concerned with them. The only issue seems to be that it's OUR MONIES and AMERICAN do it MUST BE PROTECTED.
