it's a big news so I understand his reaction. Kids are ******* expensive and time consuming. It's not something you want to take on without being prepared.

Well that's a normal reaction. Not everybody has a strong will. I know i'd panic at first too... Don't put too much thought into it! :) congrats if you are pregnant!

lol Better reaction then my boyfriend, he didn't believe me so he watched me pee on the stick....2 times. Give him time and he will get used to it. Congrats!

YDI. Pregnancy is the natural result of intercourse. That's why there are over 7 billion of us. For most people, you will get pregnant if you do it, without taking precautions. Either you, he, or both of you did not take appropriate precautions. It should not be a surprise. It's time for both of you to face the reality of the situation, take responsibility it, and make decisions about the future.

I don't know why you would get thumbed down. It is real easy to avoid pregnancy if you're mature and diligent enough to bother.

He got thumbed down because, as 65 said, condoms can break and birth control can fail. Preventing pregnancy isn't 100%.

The ONLY way to 100% prevent pregnancy is to not have sex. Condoms don't work all the time, and birth control most certainly does not prevent all pregnancy.
