Unless he is hyperactive, that sounds more like ADD. Pretty much the same thing, minus the hyperactivity.
I understand where you are coming from, but he does have a right to be offended. Not that having ADHD is a bad thing. Plus, maybe he just wanted to not be frustrated and found peace watching a dog. They can be so cute!
Of course it's a bad thing. That's what makes it a disorder. My anxiety and pseudo-autism symptoms aren't a freaking picnic. But legitimate concern is not an insult.
I didn't mean it like it isn't a concern, my sister has ADHD so I know, but in way that he shouldn't be judged for having it (if he does).
That would be ADD. ADHD means that you are also very hyper/energetic along with the other symptoms of ADD.
Do NOT put him on psych drugs. It's probably annoying that he has a short attention span but he will snap out of it eventually.
