Today, I told my students that I would be taking a few weeks off because a member of my family is very ill. They all cheered. FML

You shouldn't take that personal, students are always glad when the teacher is gone because it means less work and less rules (:

4, Maybe if you actually paid attention in class, you'd understand that it's "threw" not "throwed". You learn that in elementary school.

well boo-hoo for you. and to the retard that was in lit class and "throwed" their pen, drop the lit class, take an extra grammar class. (Threw)

they cheered for the weeks off. they dont care about the reason!

I cheer your relative's imminent demise as well!

Lol, most students are like that, it's nothing personal. If you're gone, that means substitute teacher which in turn means no work and mucking around pranking the sub about going on break earlier etc. This FML reminded me of them school days :')

when i was in highskool we were always glad when the teacher was out

It's "high school." Looks like you should have stayed there longer.

Don't take it personal. No matter the reason, students are always happy to have a few days off from school. Are you a professor? If so, it's a little bit understandable as to why they cheered. If not, they'll be getting a substitute, no?

How can I not? Here I am, with a brain the size of a planet, and it allows me to see just how pointless and futile everything is. All of existence is just rubbish. Life. Don't talk to me about life.

Impetuous humans. Loving this morbid hell called life. I hope you all suffer a death of desolation and torture.
