Today, I took a pregnancy test. When I saw that the result was positive, I started crying and showed my mom. She burst out laughing and told me that I had taken an ovulation test. FML

Try to look on the positive side here, at least you're not pregnant.

Well, at least you know not to have intercourse in the next days!

A baby should be a gift, not a burden.

gonna go off topic here and i need opinions, but ive noticed that people make accounts specifically for their fmls. does this mean that anonymous is just an account that floods the site with fake fmls? cause ive tried to post in the past and it tells me i need an account, which doesnt make sense since if i cant post anonymously, i dont see why anyone else would be able to. so yeah. thats about it.

You should probably read the box next time you buy a "pregnancy" test.

I've had a couple of scares before, and the boxes that the pregnancy tests cone in look exactly the same as the pregnancy tests, so if OP was in a hurry it would make sense on how to get confused. However, I guess next time read the box carefully before you buy it?

Whoops *ovulation tests. Herp deep on my typing xp

Dont breath out you...you might still be pregnant

To be fair, those things look like exactly like a pregnancy test when out of the box.

You got lucky. Either stop opening your legs so easily or use protection.

If you can't tell the difference between a ovulation test and pregnancy test it's a good thing your not pregnant

Well you shouldn't have to take a preggo test if you live with your mom

how'd you deduce she lives with her mom, lets hope you still live with yours

Why not? People who live with their parents are still allowed to have sex. It's not unheard of for people to get an unnecessary pregnancy scare and take a test just to be sure. Plus, there's no reason (that I can see, at least) to think OP lives with her parents.
