Today, I took a test as part of a job requirement. I took a sip from a bottle of juice, and the lady leading the test gave me a warning. I tried to explain that if I didn't, I would faint. She took the bottle and hid it. 15 minutes later I collapsed. She thought I was faking. I'm hypoglycemic. FML

Wow. One on hand, you really should have said "I'm hypoglycemic," instead of just saying that you would faint. But on the other.. Taking juice away on a job test from somebody that claims that they'd faint... She should be getting in trouble for that. Hope you got the job!

A diabetic's advice: Go to: http://www.mercola.com and enter the following topics: "nutritional type", "diabetes", "leptin", & "insulin". A 20 question test for those who don't want the book via Mercola.com is at: http://www.naturalhealthcoach.com/tools/ Basically, you may well have become reliant on the "quick fix" from the sugars in juice, when a much healthier approach would be to eat more in accordance with your nutritional type.

#7, who fakes passing out? maybe that lady will get fired.... and you will get the job! how rude!

I'm hypoglycemic myself. Instead of sipping juice, you could pop in a glucose tablet... they're readily available at walgreens and CVS... makes it a bit faster, and they taste decent. Or I find if I'm going to be a few hours and I haven't eaten in a while, before I go in someplace, nutrigrain bars tend to work out pretty well. Eat or 2 before you go in.

#173- If I'm to the point where I feel like I'll pass out, I need sugar NOW, not "over time".

@ 185- sounds like your teach deserves it. and honestly! whatreally bugs me is that peple in positions like those can be SO incredibly BACKWARDS. OP- i hope you get a better job than that.

She Took Your Juice. That's called Stealing, and I would have called the police. And also mentioned that you needed the juice due to a medical condition so, please bring the ambulance just in case something happens between the call and the arrival. Contact a lawyer (or the EEOC office in your area if you want to go government-mediation), and HR. I'm sure they'll settle. No one wants to be the company that caused someone to pass out for refusing them a simple thing like JUICE. What would they have done if you were hyper-allergic? Taken away your eppy-pen?

What a bitch. I agree with anyone who says to get a lawyer.
