Today, I took a test as part of a job requirement. I took a sip from a bottle of juice, and the lady leading the test gave me a warning. I tried to explain that if I didn't, I would faint. She took the bottle and hid it. 15 minutes later I collapsed. She thought I was faking. I'm hypoglycemic. FML

Today, while fasting for a medical test, my blood sugar became so low that I had heart palpitations and passed out. My doctor's advice? Fast, so he can run more tests. FML

Today, due to increasing frequency and severity of hypoglycemic symptoms, I went to the doctor. Apparently, the pill may have given me a rare form of temporary diabetes. She wants me to be a case study for the next 12 months. FML

Today, I was working as a stagehand for one of my college classes. I’m diabetic and can’t go without food for more than a few hours. I was told that if I left early, ate anything backstage, or passed out, I would fail the class. I passed out. FML

Today, while at work I passed out due to my blood sugar not being normal. Despite the fact that it took 10 minutes to wake me, no one thought I was in any sort of danger. After the episode, I then got fired for "sleeping on the job." FML

Today, I had to take a drug test for a new job. I ended up spilling the cup of pee all over myself. I had to explain what had happened, then go sit in a waiting room full of disgusted-looking people, while I kept drinking water to fill my bladder back up. FML

Today, my manager gave me hell for leaving the restaurant early yesterday. Guilty as charged, but only because I was rushed to the hospital after going into diabetic shock. This assmunch is convinced that I either faked it all to get off work early, or that I'd been eating our own stock. FML

Wow. One on hand, you really should have said "I'm hypoglycemic," instead of just saying that you would faint. But on the other.. Taking juice away on a job test from somebody that claims that they'd faint... She should be getting in trouble for that. Hope you got the job!

Your kind of a dumbass because if your hypoglycemic, a lil juice box is seriously the last thing you should be drinking. You shouldn't have ANY sugar just in case you didn't know that. So only some fruits are ok to eat.

Dude I'm diabetic so I know whats its like. My teacher once took my pump from me snapping the cord. I screamed at her trying to tell her it was my pump. She still thought i was lying, got mad, and threw it hard against the floor. It then broke... a lot. She's quite stupid. She's also now unemployed and owes my family $7,000 for a new pump.

Oh yeah, don't listen to all the other commenters ranting on you. There IS such thing as BAD hypoglycemia. My sugar can go from 140-40 within a minute. Yeah, that guy that mixed up hypo/hyper... look it up buddy, you're the only one wrong on all of these comments.
