Today, I took a test as part of a job requirement. I took a sip from a bottle of juice, and the lady leading the test gave me a warning. I tried to explain that if I didn't, I would faint. She took the bottle and hid it. 15 minutes later I collapsed. She thought I was faking. I'm hypoglycemic. FML

Wow. One on hand, you really should have said "I'm hypoglycemic," instead of just saying that you would faint. But on the other.. Taking juice away on a job test from somebody that claims that they'd faint... She should be getting in trouble for that. Hope you got the job!

If u say he deserved it it a jackass!!! Unless this is fake in which case yes u do deserve it for making a fake fml.

I guess you should carry around a medical report or something that proves that you are hypoglycemic =/

that sucks. i am also hypoglycemic. she should have taken you seriously.

No intelligent person will mention their health problems prior to being offered a job. If she were taking a test, she hasn't secured a position with the company, or at least not a position past the "fire at will" stage that many states have - ie in PA your employer can fire you at any time for no reason at all, so often just mentioning you have a health problem, is enough for you to be fired within a week because they "have too many employees" or "restructuring." She probably didn't tell she had hypoglycemia beforehand because she was intelligent enough to know she was trying to get a job

I'm hypoglycemic too. Why don't you just carry like granola bars with you? Drinking Juice all day will just make it worse. You should only do that when your about to faint. Drinking juice all day will just make your blood sugar levels jump up and down. Spend some more time with your doctor, and figure out what is best for you.

To everyone who thinks the OP should have had a "doctor's note" describing his/her condition, I first learned that I was hypoglycemic ten years ago, and I've made a habit of carrying around granola bars etc ever since. It's been mentioned multiple times that they don't make medical bracelets for hypoglycemia (because usually people can handle it themselves) but I know there's no way I'm going to carry around a ten (or more)-year-old doctor's note because some stupid person wouldn't allow me to take care of myself. I wouldn't sue, but her reputation and/or career wouldn't go unscathed.

#15: wrong. just wrong. that's gotta be at least something you should report to corporate if you don't seek legal action. hypoglycemia, when left untreated, can lead to other serious health problems.
