Today, I took my driving test. As I was about to turn at a green light, a car sped toward us from the other direction, running a red light. My instructor failed me because I stopped to avoid getting rammed. Apparently I should have kept going, because it was my right of way. FML

The same thing happened to a buddy of mine in high school. He did nothing wrong the whole test, someone ran a stop sign, almost ran into him. Still flunked for "performing an un-safe maneuver" in avoiding the accident. To me being able to avoid the accident should be an automatic pass as you show expert control of the vehicle. At the very least, you should be offered an immediate re-test on the spot with a clean slate.

I believe that there is a way you can report the situation, that is of course as long as he wrote that down as the reason why he failed you. When my first driving instructor failed me for the first time he wrote "driving on wrong side of road" - I was on a one-lane one way street going the direction I was supposed to go, it was physically impossible for me to be driving on the wrong side of the road since there was only room for one car - so basically if he wrote down something stupid then I don't think my advice would help but I hope it does! And I hope you actually get your licence like you deserve! By the way, sorry about my little story - just added it to explain, not steal your spotlight
