Today, I wandered around my property with my children, trying to find our escaped house cat. While in the more wooded parts, we spotted her on the ground, being picked over by a coyote. FML

Today, I found my lost cat. As I was hooking it up to a leash to get it in my car, a man approached and asked what I was doing. His kids alerted him that there was a woman stealing their cat from their front lawn. It was not my cat. FML

Today, as I returned from work, a cat was meowing at me in a bush. I said hi to it and walked inside. Then I noticed one of my cats was nowhere to be found. After a bit of panicking, I finally figured out that cat in the bush was MY cat, and he was meowing because he was stuck. I don't know how he got outside. FML

Today, I found my cat downstairs with a squirrel dangling from his mouth. When I saw this, I yelled at my cat to put it down. He did. Turns out the squirrel was still alive and run. I had to spend the next three hours chasing it out of my house. FML

Today, my cat escaped through my front door. It was dark out, so I had no idea where I was going. I finally caught up to him in my neighbour’s lawn and I gave him heck for scaring me. It took me a minute to realize I was actually talking to a bush in their flowerbed. FML

Today, a coyote turned up in the yard where my son and his friend were playing. It was aggressive and foaming at the mouth, so I called the boys inside, and shot it. Now my wife is scared of me and half the neighborhood wants me gone for "dangerous behavior." FML

Today, my mother's beloved cat died and we thought it would be nice to bury it in the back yard. I came home from work and while walking to the door saw that the cat had been dug up and partially eaten by the local raccoons and strays. FML

Today, my cat got out. I was chasing him in the field behind my backyard, barefoot while wearing PJs, yelling my head off like a raving lunatic. The field soil was sludge, and my feet sunk right in with every step. After I got him, I heard a snap of a soda can. My neighbours were there the whole time, watching. FML

I'm so sorry you had to see that. I Obsessively open doors by sliding through a narrow opening while using my feet as a block because I'm terrified of one of my cats getting loose. It annoys the hell out of my parents, but hey, I haven't lost a cat yet, and I've owned a lot of them.

A while back my sisters found my neighbor's cat Miss Lyon lying in a drainage ditch. Appearently thanks to some asshole building an apartment complex, the coyotes were comming into the neighborhood and carrying off small dogs and cats as well.

Here in Africa we keep donkeys on game farms to fend off jackal from newborn buck...get a mule = no more coyotes :)

Sorry. Believe me happened to me and my family plenty of times also. Im still a kid. 15 actually. But best way to rebound with younger kids is to get a new kitten. Thats what i wouldve wanted thats what my 3 sisters would have wanted also. Sorry
