Ever heard of crying wolf?
Now the real question is what will she do if you actually have one? If she knew you were faking it's understandable that she'll take advantage of the moment
lmao! your sister knows you faked it, she a boss!
Op, I'm pretty sure she know you was ******* around.. Haha...
*knew *were
That's when you actually have a seizure and she thinks you're faking so doesn't bother calling 911. It's called crying wolf OP, I suggest you don't do it. If she genuinely doesn't know what a seizure looks like, there's always that thing called the Internet. Or you could always, y'know... talk to her and explain it.
My mom is Epileptic and she tried to talk to my thirteen year old brother about it. She showed him a video of what it looked like and told him to call 911 if that ever happend while he was alone with her. One day, she had a really bad seizure while alone with him and my brother freaked out and went outside while she was having it. He freaked out because he wasn't used to seeing that. Talking about it doesn't always mean that people will understand what to do. You freak out and panic when it's real. For trying to get your sister used to the site so that she would get help, I applaud you, OP.
No offence, but at 13 your brother should seriously have known better than to just go outside because it freaked him out. That's awful. My cousin is 12 and I would be absolutely appalled if she reacted to an emergency like that.
Not everyone reacts the way you would expect them to in an emergency situation. The first time I saw my fiancé have a seizure, I completely panicked. It wasn't helped by the fact I was 7 months pregnant at the time so my emotions were all over the place, but I actually thought he was dying. It took me a good minute or two of freaking out before I thought to call 911. Even now, since he's had 6 more since then, it still freaks me out quite a bit, though I react a lot easier.
I was very disappointed when I found out. He had what we believed to be a panick attack after my mom recovered. It turns out that he was having a Partial Seizure due to the stress of it. I was initially very pissed because she easily could have very easily gotten seriously hurt. But I realized that if he would have stayed, he could have had a Tonic Clonic seizure so I am by no means appalled.
... So is your brother epileptic too? Was it a simple partial seizure or complex? Because it's incredibly rare to have a simple partial seizure as a result of stress or a panic attack unless there is an underlying condition, and if it was a complex he would not have been able to simply walk out of the room. Also, you would not have a Tonic Clonic seizure as a result of stress, and removing himself from the situation would not prevent it if he were going to have one. Not to be rude, but your whole story is seeming more and more unlikely with every comment.
It was a complex partial seizure. Epilepsy runs quite strongly in our family. And yes, seizures can be caused by stress. He was diagnosed with anxiety when he was ten because he was believed to be having panick attacks. It wasn't until recently that we learned that those panick attacks were actually partial seizures. He was diagnosed with anxiety because he explained Tunnel vision. The Tunnel vision wasn't from a panick attack, it was from seizures. As well, Partial seizures can turn into Tonic Clonics. I didn't mean he would outright have a tonic clonic, I merely meant his partial seizure could change into a bad seizure. Call it as you'd like, downvote me into Oblivion, but do some research before you try to dis-credit what I said.
Maybe you should give benefit of the doubt. Perhaps the stress did in fact give the lad a partial seizure (also known as "absence seizure" which often cause people to completely "vague out", wander off and have periods of time that are a complete blank).
Then why would you just say 'he freaked out and went outside' in the original comment?! That's obviously not the case! I don't think anyone would fault your brother for having a bloody panic attack, but the fact that you jumped from 'he freaked out' to 'he had a complex partial seizure' does seem a bit dubious. I'm not surprised people are sceptical. Maybe FML isn't the place for this kind of conversation in future.
I'm guessing that she knew you were faking it, considering they can be hard to fake.
YDI, don't call "wolf". Because next time she could potentially think you're faking and not call for help.

Life lesson, don't have a seizure when she's the only one with you
