Today, I was arrested for drinking in public. It was my friend who was drinking; I was taking the alcohol from her so she wouldn't be arrested. FML

Good for you for being an awesome friend :) I would like to know though how you got arrested for being drunk in public if all you were doing was holding it though.. Like, is it normal for you to slur your words and walk zig zag lines on a daily sober basis? Hmm... I think you are only being half truthful with us OP. ;)

You know it's not sufficient to be *less* drunk than the person you're helping. You have to be not drunk at all. The cops can't tell whether you got drunk indoors or outside once they see you with the drink in your hands. *Honest, occifers, I was holding this for my drunk friend over there. She's so drunk she can't bring the bottle up to her mouth without spilling*

That's illegal in Australia? So there's no bars or anything? America doesn't care as long as ur not in a school zone, driving, or stuff like that

Of course there are bars in Australia! Walking down a city street with an open bottle can get you into trouble sometimes though.

maybe he was drinking, but not in public (like his friend was) breathlyzers can only detect b.a.c ... not where yu were while drinking said alcohol
