Today, I was at a club with my girlfriend of a year. A guy starts hitting on her while I'm sitting right next to her. He then asks her to go back to his place for some fun, so I start laughing thinking that there is no chance she would even consider this. I walked home alone. FML

Your girlfriend's a ******* ***** YDI for not going after her

He shouldn't HAVE to make it known that she's taken. She should be able to stand up for herself and be like "I'm here with someone, I'm not a *****-nugget."

Wow, some of these opinions are crazy! She can do what she wants, and her choice sucks for him, but it's not the OPs right to "let" either of them do anything... they are free to do what they like. I would expect him to break up with her as a result, but it's still her choice. OP, good job being mature and reasonable unlike some of these barbaric "fight" people

Damn OP! Why you didn't kick his ass? I would. And after that i would kick her ass too. Stupid bitch. A big FYL. Good luck dude.

# 38 hell yeah I say if she wants to leave **** her she sounds like a waste of time for the OP anyway

The best revenge you can have on a man who steals your girl is to let him.

I'm a little surprised by some of the responses on here. I can tell you all right now, I am more ******* manly than any of you ******* fighters on here. Instead of being a jealous little bitch, I am in control. In this situation, I would have let the ***** go, and cut her off as a result. If she wants to disrespect me, that's her loss. Why would I **** some dude up? In the end it's up to HER to tell the guy to knock it out. If she doesn't do that, why should I have any respect for her? Why would I stand up for her if she doesn't stand up for herself? If she did tell the guy to cut it out, and he didn't, then I might have to step in and tell him to relax. Otherwise she can talk to whoever she wants. If she's doing something that bothers me, I'll talk to her about it afterwards. If she crosses a certain line, then I leave her. She should have a good idea of what that line is in an exclusive relationship of a year. If she doesn't she should ask you. You can't have a healthy relationship without communication. OP: There are 3 possible scenarios: 1. she's a **** 2. she was testing you 3. she decided she didn't want to be with you anymore, but never told you. Do you really want to be with this girl in any of the three cases? If the answer is yes, then you deserved it. However, I have a feeling that you know better. It's not an FML. It's a victory: you're not wasting more than a year on a person that is not worth your time and respect.

If she went off with another man she randomly met at a club that night...after being with the guy for a year...what exactly is there to be said other than "Good riddance"? He shouldn't have had to intervene at all if she really wanted to be with him.

well at least we know eho wears the pants in the relationship, well used to wear the pants.

This is why I don't take GFs to clubs anymore. Too many drunk dudes hit on them - and their pick up lines are always at my expense. Even worse, my girl's always too "tired" by the time we get home to make bearing the insults and awkwardness worth my while. Clubs are for b1tches and d-bags.

Why are people saying he deserved it? It's not his fault his girlfriend is a ****. He shouldn't have to remind her that she's taken or speak up for her. If she's old enough to be in a club (or if she's over the age of 4, for that matter), she can say "No, thanks, I have a boyfriend." If she's a ***** and he has to tell her not to go with the guy, that means she wanted to. Leave the *****. She's not worth it clearly.
