LOL. That last sentence made me feel like I was reading my physics textbook
It IS possible that this accident caused the airbag to deploy. Unlikely, but if the him the OP hard enough and pushed a car already in motion forward? Maybe. Sucks major balls if this happened. I hope the rear-ender had insurance. If he/she didn't then that would be even more of a FML.
So wait a second you had already gotten your coffee but yet you were still there and so was the person in front of you who you hit? what were you guys doing, then, just sitting around? And your airbag deployed going THAT SLOW? You could really be on Really?!?! With Seth and Amy right about now.
Who on earth would mark YDI? So far I've read YDI for having airbags and for drinking Starbucks coffee. So you're saying that the OP DESERVES to get in a car accident for choosing a particular brand of coffee? Really? And yes, I'm fully aware of the trolls *eyeroll*
I guess you've never gone through the drive-through at any fast food restaurant
Have you ever been in a drive-thru?!?! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CLOSE TO THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU. And for everyone saying if you had your coffee why was there someone in front of you. Sometimes people pull up just enough to let the person behind them get to the counter but don't pull off so they can prepare their coffee, or maybe the parking lot was congested and he couldn't drive off yet.. It happens.
i sense a fake...unless the guy rear ended you that hard, and that force was hard enough to hit the car infront and make the srs system think it was a front end collision, your airbags should not have deployed. for airbags to deploy there has to be a strong and fast decelleration. but then again, some cars have more sensitive air bag systems than others :)
I agree.. The speed is irrelevant to how much pain the coffee inflicted but OP had to emphasize it so now people must comment on it.

Ouch that really sucks. Make the driver pay for hospital fees.
Hot coffee burns regardless of its velocity.
