Today, I was at the library doing research for my midterm. All of the computers were in use, so I decided to use my laptop instead. Ten minutes later, I was confronted and kicked out. My offense? Unauthorized use of the library's so-called "Free Public WiFi". FML

Guessing you meant authority?? Cartman's voice immediately went in my head as I read this. Hah.

I think the problem is that they expected you to tell them first. My local library would be the same. It's still free and public, but you have to sign in (on paper).

Go to Starbucks buy a cup of coffee and use their wifi!

Your pic makes your comment even funnier 29

free public wifi should mean free public wifi

I don't know if your library is the same way, but mine has "laptop stations" where you go to use the public wifi, and you're not supposed to use your laptop anywhere else. Or like someone else mentioned, you might have to sign in. Just because it's free and public doesn't mean there aren't rules that go along with it.

Clearly your school is stingy when it comes to Internet access and its not FREE!!!

At a library as long as you following the states rules you can use they wifi no matter what bc technically your taxes pay for it
