Today, I was at work at Panera. A blind woman came in, ordered, and said other blind people were going to come in soon, because they were having a meeting. Later, a man came in and asked if any other blind people had showed up. I told him there was just one in here wearing a blue shirt. FML

At least you didn't say "Yeah, can't you see them over there by that poster?"

blind people probably get it 1000 times a day. its part of being blind, making people feel stupid.

Meh, I'm sure he understood and you corrected yourself right away. It's not that bad.

haha! it's no big deal, im sure he thought it was funny!! im everyone has done something dumb like that before 2!!

took me a while to get this one. Its not that funny tbh, nor is your life ******.

thats a big mistake ! somethien everyone does though, im sure he got that before .. no biggie really, we all make accidenta

Actually that isnt so bad. My mother is blind, but she can see some things. She can tell roughly what color shirt someone is wearing and about how tall they are. She can't see any details though. Because of my mother's blindness, I've met some other blind people, some most of which are totally blind and in fact they prefer you to treat them as if they weren't. One was teasing with a professional and complimenting them on their tie - of course he couldn't see the man's tie and the man really wondered if he was blind (The guy is totally blind, can't even see changes in light/dark)

LOL, don't feel bad. I would've said/done the same thing.

Haha, don't feel too bad. Everyone naturally does that. I used to work in a restaurant where a blind couple would come in all the time. As a hostess, I gave them a stinking menu EVERY single time. Too much of a habit! Finally, I learned to give one menu so that a server could use it to read to them.
