Today, I was bored. Some people would've called up friends to hang out. Not me. I had the sudden urge to make an entire Excel Spreadsheet on how much I've spent on iTunes, month-by-month. I'm not sure what's worse, that I got really into it, or that I've spent nearly $800.00 on iTunes. FML

on this subject I kinda agree with both sides to some extent. I can understand the artist and others involved to be upset and want their money simply because...you have to spend money to make money. however if that's the case instead of crying and bitching about it help make the solution. work with music sites on finding a simple solution. however it boils down to either stop making one or two good songs off your entire album or stop trying to force me into buying your whole shitty album for the one or two songs I would actually be willing to pay for. I like how most of the time on iTunes you can purchase a song individually but sometimes they try to force you into the entire shit pile they call the "album". this is not fair. just like the artist has rights...so does the consumer! without us there would be NO YOU! if you songs aren't total shot I will buy them otherwise I will purchase them individually and if you try to force me to buy the entire p.o.s. album you created well than you can keep the one or two good songs you managed due the the fact that it's not worth the money and that you've now made me a severely dissatisfied potential customer that you've just lost. so you can bitch an complain that people are stealing tour music but just remember some people do actually pay for music even though it can be stolen and you need to focus on improving tour music if you want more money so that you can actually sell an entire album rather than just a couple of songs. thieves sadly will always be around whether it be in person or over the net. you have to find a way to balance it out because although you may prosecute many for it...you will NEVER get them all. solution= just make better music and you will get more $ in your pockets cuz we work just as hard for our money too

iTunes....keeps track of your yearly cumulative spending...stupid?

pfft idiot... >_> what were u buying? music? cuz that REALLY is stupid, apps? sure but why so many, other? u need an accountant >_>

Music is for everyone, not just people with money. I prefer to listen to artists who just love playing music and could care less about the money. If I download a band's album and really like it, I'll pay $40 for concert tickets or a (slightly overpriced) hoodie because I want to show my support. If I get one and it's total shit, then lesson learned. I'll delete it and be glad I didn't waste my money on such garbage. I personally think it's criminal to make people go buy an album for one good song and 12 crappy ones. If OP wants to pay for music, then fine. Just don't complain when you realize how much money you've spent. On another note, I liked the spreadsheet thing! I hang out with people all the time and go out but sometimes I just feel like staying in and calculating ways to increase my tips at work. :P

Use Torrents and suffer the consequences after my computer crashes OR ask for iTunes gift cards for holidays...I don't know which one is more tempting.
