Today, I was doing laundry at college. There was a pile of clothes sitting on top of a dryer, but the dryer was empty so I used it. I came back to a note saying, "Don't touch my laundry, asshole" and a dryer filled with urine soaked laundry. FML

easrc tells us more.

I don't think you understand-the dryer was EMPTY with someone else's clean, dry laundry on top when I got there. I put my stuff in the the dryer and the idiot thought that I took his clothes out when in fact, it took him so long to get his stuff that SOMEONE ELSE took his clothes out, dried their own, AND took their own laundry out again. To all the people who agree that this is a real FML-Unfortunately the room doesn't have security cameras, but I narrowed it down to 3 possible people based on who I remember being in the hall at the time and the fact that it was mens clothing. The RA and the administration are currently investigating it-hopefully they make the culprit confess!

No, that guy was an asshole. Even if you had touched it, Taking someone's stuff out of the dryer after the time is up and leaving it on top is standard practice, and he had no right to be ab asshole about it. If you leave your clothes over time, and you find them on top of the dryer, then thats life, and deal with it. At my school we do that for each other all the time. No one gets upset over it.

thats the nastiest thing eva-sorry dude...

dude, if you're not there and using the machine and all the other machines are being used: it's a free for all! It's so screwed up for them to have peed on your clothes. especially coz you pay to wash your clothes. Sucks man...hope you didn't have something better to do with that $3 - $5

I freaking hate when people touch my laundry in a shared washer/dryer setup, is it really that hard to wait 15 minutes for someone to get their laundry?

Once I waited an hour and the person still hadn't collected her clothes. I removed her stuff from the dryer and kept an eye on it every time I passed the laundry room. Do you know how long it sat there? TWO DAYS!

And i hate people like you, stop being an oblivious asshole who thinks people have to wait for you.Its not YOUR washer/dryer,its the buildings/dorms/etc. So stop being a useless piece of shit and get your laundry on time, because if youre doing laundry youre probably around somewhere watching tv or some b.s.,so REALLY is it that hard to pick it up? God you really piss me off,you p.o.s.

yes, it is. this is a college dorm. there's hundreds of people who need to use a limited amount of machines. it is your responsibility to be there when your laundry is done. if not, expect your laundry to be on the folding table or on top of the machine.

Douchebag! So what you get pissed that someone can't wait 15 min. Then I would be pissed you couldn't get your ass in there 15 min ago. I mean its not like you didnt know you had your clothes in the dryer. If you dont want your clothes touched then dont leave em in there. Learn to schedule your own damn time.

Clearly it was more than 15 minutes...someone had ALREADY waited, given up, moved the laundry to the top of the dryer, dried their clothes, returned, folded their clothes, and left before the OP even showed up. You seriously think they should have waited that long? I also HATE it when people move my stuff, but that's why I make sure to get back at a reasonable time.

Yes it is. The world doesn't revolve around you. You have no idea what kind of time schedule someone else is on. If you don't want people touching your shit, be respectful and get your shit out of the way when it's done. You have your nerve!

at my undergrad university, you had 5 minutes to take your laundry out or it got moved. and, in one of the halls, if you leave your clothes there for an extended time (3 days or so), it goes to goodwill.

There have to be security cameras in there. Tell someone with the power to remove people from dorms and get that asshole kicked off campus. "Douche" just doesn't seem to be strong enough for people like that. (And seriously? Peeing on clothes? How the **** did NO ONE ELSE SEE THAT?!)

Some people seriously have no decency.

here's what you do: piss on his laundry, and leave a note saying "payback's a bitch"

That sucks. Like other people have said, tell the RA or RD and see if there's any footage from security cameras. I never had problems like this when I lived on campus, probably because I always tried to keep track of the time. Though once when it was really busy somebody took my stuff out as soon as the cycle finished. Thankfully the folded all of it for me (sadly it was a bunch of sweatshirts, which I hang up, but it's the thought that counts). My apartment is a different story. Most of the other residents are fairly courteous about the single washer and dryer, as it's a house that's been divided into separate apartments and there's only a few of us here. One of the girls in the apartment across from me, however, leaves her shit sit there for days at a time, and it's annoying as all hell. I'm busy, and I can't just wait around for a few days hoping that she retrieves her stuff. I usually give it 30 minutes or so, and then I just take it out and then put it back in the machine when I'm done. I don't really enjoy doing it (or going through some random chick's underwear...eugh...), but there really isn't any other option.

Solution: steal some panties. You don't have to keep them, just make sure she notices a few are missing. She won't leave her clothes laying around anymore. If you want to be nice about it, you can even return them a few days later with an explanatory note.

I've had similar issues. there are policies in these college landomats. like if you leave your laundry for 5 minutes people have the right to move your clothes. find that **** and shit in his laundry next time.
