Today, I was doing laundry at college. There was a pile of clothes sitting on top of a dryer, but the dryer was empty so I used it. I came back to a note saying, "Don't touch my laundry, asshole" and a dryer filled with urine soaked laundry. FML

I don't think you understand-the dryer was EMPTY with someone else's clean, dry laundry on top when I got there. I put my stuff in the the dryer and the idiot thought that I took his clothes out when in fact, it took him so long to get his stuff that SOMEONE ELSE took his clothes out, dried their own, AND took their own laundry out again. To all the people who agree that this is a real FML-Unfortunately the room doesn't have security cameras, but I narrowed it down to 3 possible people based on who I remember being in the hall at the time and the fact that it was mens clothing. The RA and the administration are currently investigating it-hopefully they make the culprit confess!

No, that guy was an asshole. Even if you had touched it, Taking someone's stuff out of the dryer after the time is up and leaving it on top is standard practice, and he had no right to be ab asshole about it. If you leave your clothes over time, and you find them on top of the dryer, then thats life, and deal with it. At my school we do that for each other all the time. No one gets upset over it.

thats the nastiest thing eva-sorry dude...

Apparently, that douche doesn't realize the rules of college laundry. He (the guy who peed on your clothes) is just lucky that whomever piled his clothes on the dryer didn't put them on the floor! For you future college kids: In the dorms, get your clothes out of the washers and dryers immediately, if you don't want them moved to a table or the floor by someone who needs the washer or dryer. And no, you don't get to get pissed about people touching your stuff. You aren't the only one who needs the laundry facilities. Oh, and to the OP: Your laundry room probably has cameras in it. You need to tell someone at the front desk and find out who peed on your clothes and in the dryer. That's a health hazard, public urination, and destruction of property.

Good advice, and it applys after college, too. I live in an apartment building where, until I put up a VERY strongly worded (multiple f-bombs and a couple mf-bombs) and vaguely threatening note in the laundry room, some of my neighbors would leave their stuff in the dryer for HOURS on end, and on the one occasion that I know of where someone (the nice older lady down the hall from me) removed someone's unattended laundry and nicely placed it on the table next to the dryer after waiting two hours, she returned to find her own laundry in the waste bin. Yeah, basically, keep track of the time or don't have a hissy fit when someone moves your stuff.

that's terrible. i remember once in our old apartment building, some jerk apparently put a load in and then went off to work for the day. my landlord happened to stop by that day and i told him about it, and even he told me to remove them. and there they sat, while i did 2 or 3 entire loads of laundry. later that day i heard someone go into the laundry room (my apt was right by it) and even then they were slamming shit around angrily because their stuff had been moved. people really think they can leave stuff hours on end when there are only 2 washers & dryers for a whole building...definite pet peeve of mine, and so happy to have our own now!

I had that problem in my last apartment too. People would leave stuff in there for hours and get mad when their stuff was moved. I would hear them screaming about it since my unit was right beside the laundry room. To make things worse, we only had ONE washer and ONE dryer. I always made sure to get back to the laundry room a few minutes before my cycle was over.

I once lived in an apartment building that had 4 apartments and a big shared basement, with washer/dryer hookups for each apartment. Everyone had their own corner and their own washer and dryer. I started noticing that my detergent would run out faster, and that one of my bottles of bleach went missing and mysteriously ended up next to another person's washer. Like I wouldn't figure out who it was (the corners were labeled with the apartment numbers!) I left them a nasty note about how stealing isn't very nice, and started locking up my detergents in my storage locker after that. Some people are just very rude and don't care about how their behavior affects others. If you don't want your laundry left on the floor, table, or top of the dryer, you're going to have to either set a timer so you can get it right when it's done, stay down there with it, or leave your laundry basket in front of/on top of the washer or dryer so whoever needs to use it can put your laundry in your basket rather than on the floor. As for the OP: tape that note up in your laundry room, with a new note saying "LAUNDRY PISSER: I wasn't the one who moved your clothes asshole!" Maybe the guy will feel a LITTLE guilty.

Some people are just stupid. =( Definitely talk to your security.

You really should report it to the RHD or whoever is in charge at the dorm. It's a health hazard not only to you, but to the people who use it after you, and it's just plain disgusting. Next time, do what I do. Bring some homework or a book and chill with your laundry.

if you ever see that pile of clothes again, take them outside, throw them in a trash bin and burn them.

Laundromat etiquette states that if someone has a pile of clothes on top of a machine, they're using that machine. So it's your own fault and YDI!

"laundromat etiquette" doesn't mean shit in a dorm. if you're enough of a douchebag to leave your clothes in a dryer for an extended period of time, expect to have it moved. regardless, the OP didn't TOUCH the other person's clothes, he clearly stated that the clothes had ALREADY been placed on top of the dryer when he got there.

the person was not using the machine, genius! There clothes has been previously taken out because they were already dry! You make it seem like there clothes were laying up there holding his spot or something.. :::rolls eyes:::So take your laundry mat etiquette and stfu

"laundry mat" etiquette doesn't really apply in a dorm laundry situation. My Dorm currently has about 400 people in it, and it has 4 washers and 4 dryers that are smaller than normal. It's pretty much the unspoken rule that if there is laundry sitting in a dryer for longer than 20 minutes after the cycle is done, you can take it out and put it on a folding table or something and use it. With so many people needing to use only a couple machines, you pretty much have to do this or you'd NEVER get your laundry done. If that asshole didn't want people to move his laundry, he should have taken it out himself. I hate the douchebags that throw laundry in then go do other shit for hours while their laundry takes up a machine. I don't care if it's a washer or a dryer, you have 20 minutes to get your laundry or it's getting taken out, other people who actually pay attention have to use it too. If someone did this to me, I would track that mother F***er down and beat his ass senseless, then stuff all my pee-soaked laundry down his throat.

Find the asshole who did it, and scratch his/her eyes out. Then pee on him/her.
