Today, I was driving behind a UPS truck. All of a sudden his back door opens up exposing some boxes ready to fall out. Like a good driver I speed up to drive beside him to tell him. He thought I was trying to cut him off so he accelerated. A box flies out and dents my windshield. FML

I know some are going to either say "Mind your own business, YDI" or "Sorry to hear about that." I think it was actually nice of you to do what you felt was right. In a normal situation the UPS driver's irresponsibility would've exposed other drivers to potential hazards. Since most of us don't have UPS customer service on speed-dial, there's not much else you could've really done to help. BTW: I won't say "first" like the other losers out there who claim that they do this mainly because they've never been first at anything in life (No joke, one guy said that and caused others in the comments to admit his comment was more FML than the OP's).

How does one go about denting a windshield??? Seriously though, that sucks. FYL.

Ummm, windshields don't dent, they crack! If you pulled up beside him to tell him about the door, how did a box fall out the back and hit your car? Did the box float through the air, switch lanes, accellerate over your car, and drop?

Lmao thay happened to me once.

oh.. so that's how they always lose packages

Hope the boxes were extremely valuable to that driver

Fake. No way in hell the box magically swooped around the ups truck, going forward (since you were supposedly by the drivers side) and hit your windshield. Plus, even if this did happen, the box would have to be empty or close to it to fly through the air like that, therefore, not heavy enough to dent a windshield.

Wow a lot of people aren't reading this. He pulled up beside the UPS driver. The UPS driver, thinking our FML case was trying to cut him off, accelerated past him. Then, when said UPS driver was past him, a box flew out at him. Poster leaves out whether the UPS truck had pulled back in front of him or if he was still beside him, but if someone was trying to cut you off you'd cut them off back- perfectly logical that the truck was in front of him again. OP stands for "Original Poster", the person who posted the article. FYL.

I don't believe that for a minute. A UPS truck accelerating so hard, boxes come flying out of it? A UPS truck?!
