Today, I was driving to work and I got a text from my girlfriend. She said she was breaking up with me. I was a little heartbroken, but I had to get on with my day. I got to work and my boss fired me. Turns out, my boss and girlfriend have been having an affair and she told him to fire me. FML

Talk to his boss, spilling all the details and threaten a lawsuit if they won't take you back and transfer you to a different boss/department, or at least offer you 6 months pay plus benefits as part of a severance package. I bet his boss has no idea of the reasoning, and if you have proof he was having an affair with her, it could cause headaches for his boss. No boss likes to deal with headaches from their employees.
