This is easy, just soak the whole couch with stain remover, duh.

Maybe your couch is just really dirty so the spot is actually the color it should be.

Don't you ever read the directions? On every bottle of stain remover it states to test in a non obvious spot to see if it will discolor the material. YDI

That usually mean that your couch needs to be cleaned with a steam cleaner. Or just cover it in stain remover and do it that way.

At least it removed the ketchup! My personal preference would be to have a stain remover stain, since perhaps it wouldn't smell as bad over time :)
