Today, I was fired from my job of 5 years. I was let go because I couldn't take the company to 'the next level'. My now ex-boss asked me if I could process my severance check because he didn't know how. I had to write myself my last paycheck. FML

Today, I was fired. For "lack of attention to details", specifically spelling errors. My now ex-boss misspelled the name of his own company on my severance agreement. FML

Today, I was fired from my job for "lack of work". What that means is that my boss hired his good-for-nothing lazy son, who then got too big of a mortgage, and he had to let me go to pay him a higher salary. FML

Today, I was let go at work. About 2 years ago, we had hired an eager-to-learn "assistant" for me. When they canned me, they let me know that I should've trained him faster so I could've been fired sooner. FML

Today, it was the first day of my new job. It was also the last day of my new job. I got a call immediately after finishing my shift to be told the company has "decided to go in a different direction" and will no longer be needing my services. FML

Haha, I'd tell him to go **** himself and walk away. I'm not paid to write my own check anymore. He has to figure it out anyways or he could get into huge trouble.

no this is totally fake. there is no way your boss would ever make you write your own checks. your boss shouldn't even be the one writing checks. in most cases, an accountant does that. if this business was too cheap to hire their own accountant then you shouldn't even be working there in the first place

firstly, if your the only one competent enough to wight a severance pay, the the company''s screwed secondly, drain their bank accounts, sue them or whatever, it wont cause the problem, just accelerate it.
