Today, I was going to propose to my girlfriend on my boat at the lake. As we were looking at the mountains all around us, she playfully pushed me off the side into the water. As I got back on the boat, I realized that not only was my cellphone dead, but the ring had fallen into the deep water. FML

yeah, but i wouldn't push someone into deep water if they're fully dressed and might have a phone/ipod/somethingelseimportant in their pockets. someone did that to me once, and my parents grounded me for "having dumbass friends" and ruining my phone.

well...sometimes, I tend to "friendly punch" my bf.. but never actually pushed him into water before soo.. :D guess she sorta overdid it ^^

Awwww of all the FYL I feel like this is the biggest one... I like how you used the word "playfully" and not "visciously" or anything, people would be on here saying "YDI for proposing to a total bitch" I am sorry for your situation, and WTF are u talking about #8, he doesn't have to wait to get a "replacement" ring to propose to her, he could still do it, and if she cant handle that the ring is currently at the bottom of the lake because of her "playfulness" then why the hell should he buy her another ring??

#43 how does he deserve it being pushed around by a girl? my best friend is a 6 foot tall football player and i a 5'6" skinny girl can push him around cause he doesn't have his guard up with me and doesn't fight back. probably the same with this guy he might have been leaning over and his girl friend was messing around its not like hes going to push her over to save himself

It's not that hard to get it back. At most recreational lake areas, you should be able to hire divers to go find it...This is of course assuming you can remember your general location in the lake....good luck..
