Today, I was having a conversation with a new friend when she remembered she needed to grab something from her car. I don't know where she parked, but it's been two and a half hours and she's still gone. FML

Today, I was following my friend to her house in my car, because I didn't know where it was. I'd been following her for at least an hour when she pulled into a gas station. Turns out I'd been following the wrong car. I have no idea where I am. FML

Today, I went to visit my aunt who lives 6 hours away from me. Her car was missing from her driveway, but she's unemployed and barely leaves the house. Turns out, she moved in with her new boyfriend and didn't tell anyone, so I had to drive 6 hours back. FML

Today, I was leaving my job at a huge mall. I couldn't find my car anywhere, so I panicked and flagged a security officer. I cried while he drove me around for miles in the endless parking lot. Then, suddenly, I remembered. My friend had dropped me off in the morning. FML

Today, my family and I drove to a mall an hour away. We split up, and I went into a store by myself. A little later, I get a call from my brother asking me where I am. They had already left to go home and didn't notice me missing from the car. They were already halfway home. FML

Today, I couldn't get to work because I couldn't find my car keys. It turns out, my mother took them and put them "somewhere safe." She can't remember where they are. FML

Today, I finished my shopping at Costco, and realized I had forgotten where I had parked. After scouring the parking lot for 20 minutes, I called the police and filed a report for a stolen vehicle. I then remembered I had bought a new car yesterday and parked it right next to the entrance. FML

Today, my friend and I went to see our favorite band in concert. We walked at least a mile from our parking space and stood in line for two hours. My friend was supposed to have the tickets in her purse. She actually had, but she left her purse in the car. FML

Today, I woke up at 7 am to take my last final. When I got to the parking lot, I realized my car was missing. After speaking to the police for 3 hours, I called my girlfriend to let her know what happened. She then told me I had parked on the street the night before. So much for the 8 am final. FML

God I seriously hope you actually didnt wait 2 1/2 hours or longer for this new 'friend' to come back. It sucks the other person wasnt honest with you, but after 1/2 hour of waiting you couldnt figure you were ditched? For that, I say YDI, but they were a bitch for not being honest.

your 'friend' is just plain rude. even if you did something she didn't like, she should've said so and clarified with you (what a TRUE friend would've done). you dodged a bullet, OP. this friendship is over, but now you have more time to look for real friends who'll be there for you :)

I'm gonna see the silver lining here and say you dodged a bullet of a "friend". The only other thing I could think of is maybe something embarrassing happened (pooped herself or something) and she bailed quickly, but because you two were new friends, she was too embarrassed to say anything. I know it's a long shot because regardless of how well you know eachother, her not returning without saying anything is inexcusable.
