Eh, don't sweat the 'small' stuff ;)
that's like saying asians drive badly 2 seconds before an asian across the street bumps into your parked car... even if you make an observation based on overgeneralization (hence, an offense) the OP had her remarked backed up with a real life example, in an instant
#39.... ""Midget" isn't an offensive term. It's what they are. If I were a midget, I'd be more offended by "little people." It sounds so mocking." Well, you may not think it is offensive but Little People of America and other organizations like it, do think the term "midget" is offensive, and the term "little people" is what they prefer. So I would recommend that you DON'T run around calling little people "midgets" in order not to offend them. It will have the opposite effect.
LMAO. Major pwnage.
I'm a little person, and I prefer to be called a little person. I forgive people who do not know the proper terminology and do not mean it in a demeaning way, but some of these comments are incredibly hurtful and abusive. We are not freaks, or "god's little punchlines". We are people, who are different. Everyone is different, it's just more obvious for us. I agree that this FML is not that bad, I'm sure the guy was kind of mad, but it is not as bad as these comments. The person seems to have not meant it too hurtfully, but I cannot say the same for many others. Give us a break.
WOW i cannot believe the stupidity of some of the people leaving these comments. The term "Midget" is VERY offensive. My 11 year old Brother has Achondroplasia ( the most common form of dwarfism). He has to deal daily with dumbasses like you saying things like "OMG look at the Midget!" He deals with this better than me as I often flip people off when they use that word. I hate the word "midget" it dates back to freak shows which is why it is offensive. If you are going to talk to someone that has a form of dwarfism, why not try asking for their name?? My brother's name is STEVEN not Midget! And using the word "midget" is EXACTLY like saying NIGG*R OR FAGG*T! Please don't be ignorant. I know a lot of people don't know that it is a ridiculously offensive term, but hopefully you learned something.. IT IS! If you absolutely had no other term, you could have said "little person" or "dwarf" in your post. I have yet to meet a little person that likes or approves or accepts the term "midget" because it is extremely offensive.
# 9 - yep because every time someone walks to talk they look around for midgets. give me a break. #17 - are you being serious? lol dwarves are mythical creatures

Hey, he was sitting in the couch, right? So he was just proving your point.
How dare you say small things are for small people... ...and then he bought the couch
