Today, I was in IKEA, furniture shopping with my dad. He was looking at one couch that was particularly small. I said "dad that couch is for like a midget." I look over to see a midget looking at me, sitting on the same couch in a different color. He definitely heard me. FML

Today, my boyfriend and I went to a furniture store. We split up for a bit, and after a while I went to find him. A salesman noticed I seemed to be looking around for him and said, "Oh, your son is upstairs." We're the same age. FML

Today, I was in the supermarket when I saw a little boy trying to reach for something on the top shelf. I went over to him and asked if his mom knew where he was. The boy turned around. He was actually a very angry midget. FML

Today, I was eating at a restaurant in town, when a small boy started looking at me. I simply smiled and went back to eating, only to hear out of the corner of my ear, "Daddy, why does that kid's face look like that"? He said it so loud, the three tables next to us turned and looked. FML

Today, my boyfriend and I were furniture shopping. They had miniature versions built of some of the desks. He commented how they were "cute for little kids" to use. They were 6 inches tall. I had to explain to him that they were only models, not real desks. I'm dating Zoolander. FML

HAHAHA this made me lol. it sounds like something out of a good will ferrell movie where he'd get jumped by the asskicking midget immediately after saying it. also Today, I was sitting in a particularly small couch in IKEA. A girl was shopping with her dad and looking at the other similar couches when she said, "Dad, that couch is for like a midget." I am a little person. FML

Be careful next time or the midget will kick your ass. I've seen it happen... To me haha. A four foot tall midget got on a bunk bed and tackled me to the ground and beat me up. I'm 5'9 Very funny haha. I would laugh in that situation.

I saw this thing on TV that said they don't appreciate being called midgets either, because it's become such a demeaning word. Apparently "dwarf" if the correct terminology. So yeah, they may have been kind of insulted xP.

"Midget" is considered offensive. The term comes from times when featuring "freaks" in circuses reached its peak in popularity - "midgets" were especially popular, due to their appearance and relative frequency in the population. The performers were considered to be part of one of the lowest tiers in society, treated like animals (and some, even less!) Since then, the term "little person" has been brought into politically correct language. This person should be embarrassed for their offensive choice in words, though I'm pretty sure nobody has learned anything here.
