Today, I was just about to get in the shower, when I heard a loud crunch. I thought to myself, boy the neighbours next door must be doing some heavy construction. Two seconds after that thought, my brother knocked on the door to inform me that the neighbours tree had just fallen on my car. FML

Today, I woke up at 4AM to the sound of lightning hitting a tree in my backyard, then that tree proceeding to hit my house. Later, my neighbor's tree fell over, which hit our fence, and they're not even home. FML

Today, I was reversing my brother's car out of a driveway. I turned to my friend in the passenger seat and said, "Check it out, I'm so good at reversing!" Next minute there's a huge bang. I had just reversed into a tree and shattered the windscreen. FML

Today, I drove to a party after getting my car back from the shop. A thunderstorm started as I made my way there and upon arriving, the power went out. The guests decided to watch the storm from the front windows when someone mentioned how funny it would be if a tree fell on my car. Seconds later, one did. FML

Today, I was in a college band rehearsal when I got a call, saying, "Your car was just hit by a tree!" I said, "Yeah, right!" and hung up on her. Minutes later, the band manager walked in and told me that my car was totaled. I then went and stood in the rain to watch a tree get cut off my car. FML

Could be worse, my neighbours tree fell on his house, It was an “act of god” and his insurance refused to pay for it.

That sucks, their insurance should cover it, a neighbor of mine was able to get my landlords insurance to cover the repair to his basement due to the roots cracking the basement wall in. So yes their insurance should cover it, also if you read it again, she said her brother told her the tree fell on the car, how old is the kid and his grasp of tree and limb characteristics or what he saw before he rushed to tell her. I've had a tree fall on my camaro and not a single window broke, only dents on the roof, hood and fenders. Majority of the tree was being supported by the branches surrounding my car. So to actually make a valid opinion all facts are needed, like was it a whole tree, a branch, what did it actually hit on the car and what not. Nature will always win, get insurance.
