That was a really insensitive thing to say.
I chose to drop out of college because it was just wasting my time and money when I didn't even know what I wanted to major in. I chose to join the Army when I found out I was going to be a dad. I chose to live in a place where I can see my daughter every week even though it means taking a crappy paying job rather than moving somewhere that I could make more money. You are not better than me. What you do for a living doesn't somehow magically make you a better person nor does it say anything about your life or the journey you took. Lots of people I know are uneducated but have college degrees. Mostly they memorized what they needed to pass tests but didn't learn anything. I know other people that learned throughout school are still learning and though missing the piece of paper that says they know things are more educated than most people coming out of diploma mills. We are not better than you. The greatest thing that my teachers inadvertently taught me was that the key to success is happiness. That was the motto central to their "stay in school" speech that was all about how no one is happy without a college degree. That Janitor has a daughter that is proud of her hard working daddy. Guy's got a Million dollar a year job.
...because janitors don't have feelings? That's extremely inappropriate.
That's ****** up you don't do that
that's extremely rude, YDI.
Oh yeah, being a teacher is such a financial accomplishment right?
Remember kids! If you get an education then you have the right to be a stuck up prick like me!! I doubt that man worked his ass off for 16 years to pay for her to be educated by an ass like you!

Ydi. A lot of people end up with jobs like that because they can't get anything better and at least they have a job.
Serves you right, OP. Why would you even say that? At least he ha s a job, you're not better than him or anyone else who does "dirty work".
